Re: Split aircon unit, info required

Homebase in Kings Langley (just south of Hemel Hempstead) had one split
unit
on display on Thursday. It is about 35 miles from MK to Kings Langley.

I live in York and was just down there for a meeting, so sorry I cannot
check if they still have it.

Just fitting my split unit now... Couple of things I noticed:

* instructions on how to disconnect the external unit are incorrect (pipes
are reversed).
* there was a small dribble of fluid that escaped as I unbolted the unit
(very small amount).
* the manufacture date of the unit is 98/3... but I guess they have a long
shelf life?

Looking forward to firing up the unit... it is a balmy 32C in here, with
the
various CPUs reporting 41C..49C.
