Thanks Graham and James, this is exactly what I was looking for. It seems they have taken over the Compuserve world network - ideal for people who travel a lot.
 
Incidentally the Nokia won't work with Exchange server web-mail, so it is back to plan B, which is a Sony Vaio C1VE, and an Orange high speed data card.

I don't know if this is applicable, but I use U-Net and they have a service whereby you can connect locally from many countries in the world. Over the Christmas holiday I was dialling in from Canada on my laptop for the cost of a local call plus about £1.50 per month. I think they call this service Global Roaming.
