Jukebox - uses an Access database and i dont duplicate tracks. If the same
track is on 4 CD's then the database points at <first-entered>.mp3
so saves
time ripping. I rip, encode and then burn to a CD. When all the ripping is
done I just copy *.* to the drive.
By copying the database and ASP's to a different machine I can also use my
database at work. The drive containing the MP3's is specified in an *.ini
file so can point at the CD drive. Insert one of the backup CD's and you
can
play from any of the 150-200 tracks on there. change the CD and you have
more.
The really cool part is the graphics which are images of a Wurlitzer
jukebox
cut up and manipulated to make it look like a real jukebox. Even the search
fields are in a song label from a jukebox.
When I get time !!!!!! I will put a working demo on the web. It will have
everything except the actual MP3 files.
