Not exactly. Since the repeaters work with demodulated data you need a
demodulator. This is a 5 volt device costing ?1.50 from Keith (Kat5) and
called a TSOP1838. This is then connected to the Tx board which sends IR
based on the signal from the receiver via a bus. Three connecting wires are
needed if tranferring power as well (2 power, 1 signal). The TSOP's are
tiny
and very sensitive so a low power LED from HV in front of it would do
nicely.
