I know from my own bitter experience that WiFi compliance doesn't=20
count for much. It seems that the standard doesn't extend to include=20
the generation of the key that is used for encryption. Normally this=20
requires the user to enter a pass phrase or pin code in an admin gui=20
which is then used to seed the generation of the key. So there is a=20
chance that you won't be able to generate the same encryption key on=20
two different vendors WiFi compliant kit, in which case the cards=20
will associate, but pass only gobbledygook. If you are lucky, the=20
vendor will provide access to the raw hex encryption key in the GUI,=20
in which case you can enter it manually and you'll ok.
This isn't important if your access point allows you to turn off=20
encryption (the Orinoco doesn't), or if you don't care about=20
encryption...
