I'm supplying the power for the PIR from a 12v Wall Wart PSU ... this has it's 0v line tied to HVs "GND" position on Port B. Does HV have a 9V output as if it does the PIR will run from 9V too? (Haven't looked too closely inside HV yet.)
 
Might go get a different PIR if these are so non-standard!
