Title: It's Phil's Fault!
Dear Members,
I looked at this [website] (www.electronic-devices.net) and noticed they stock blank smartcards with PIC chips in. I wondered if maybe I (or any of you) could use them for security or for your computers perhaps.. I was thinking that I could make one for identifying me for shutting down my OS/2 Server - My friend david says my room sounds like the Alliance & Leicester mainframe room. Also I saw at www.Jayex.com that they have moving (and stationary) message displays. I've got a brochure and price list - they're a bit too expensive for me but some of you may be interested. Look at the website if you want and if you like what you see i'll tell u the prices. Have a nice day!

Yours Faithfully,

Lee Edward Causier.

www.electronic-devices.net for a chip that allows you to play “backups” for £2.00, then backups at about a tenner a pop. Far better than paying £40+ for a game you can’t really try before you buy.

Given the recent price drop of a PS2 it is something of a "bargain" now...

GT3 really is superb though. Want to try to get hold of SSX Snowboarding at some point and would like to see what the latest version of Ridge Racer is like ... there appear to be some fairly mindless "just race around city streets" type of car games on the PS2 which could be fun. Can't be ars*d to try to work my way through the ranks on GT3 - I just like the racing sim side of it!

Well, I went and bought a PS2 after Phil and another friend was raving about it, I was going to wait ad see what the script was with X-Box but I have a terrible cold, wanted something to do and the PS2 seemed the perfect remedy. Nothing quite has the same impact as GT3 on a six foot screen J

To be fair, Phil’s right, you get a rather good games machine with a DVD player (multi-region for £30 ;-)) and a spare CD transport for £200, that really can’t be a bad deal can it? One could even call it a bargain J

But when SWMBO came home last night “it was Phil’s idea” seemed an appropriate response J
