A while ago people were looking for high quality colour printers...
Well, digital depot (www.digitaldepot.co.uk are advertising the Olympus
P400
dye-sublimation printer for £479 (1/2 price) on production of the
advert in
What Digital Camera. The prints from this printer are indistinguishable
from
photos and they have a resolution of 315dpi *BUT AT 24 BITS* ... no
dithering of pixels is used to make up images.
They're also doing CF cards of 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 Mb for £16,
£24, £35,
£70 and £160 respectively.
Microdrives are £169 and £249 for the 340Mb and 1Gb versions
respectively so
they seem to be staying the same.
