Sorry to have to say it but this is the kind of reaction that I was so hoping that we wouldn't see ... it's this kind of knee-jerk response that does nothing but cause isolation, fear and hatred. In as far as America is concerned I am a "foreigner" (I'm English), my cousin - who married an American girl and is living and working out there and who would have been in the first tower was it not for the fact that he was late for work - is Scottish.

Now, I understand that emotions are high out in the US at the moment - right now support for the US and the overwhelmingly universal condemnation of this act have probably brought more countries closer than they have been for years - but if the American public as a whole embrace and support views like this (and I don't know who's they are as they weren't Pams but were just forwarded on) then America is going to find itself isolated and alone .... the people who planned this terrible act will have won as they will have made America shrink back into itself and a once great nation - known for its mixture of cultures and the opportunities that it gives to those who are prepared to work hard - will turn into a police state no better than many of those they have been fighting against for years.

At the moment I would love to see some surgical strike take out whatever hole the cockroach who planned this is currently hiding in but I'm also intelligent enough to know that that feeling is a purely emotional response and that now is not the time to lash out. Currently the "intelligence" seems to point to this Bin Laden as being the root of this action and if so then the US has made its position clear in that they will find him and they will take action, if the person or group responsible is being hidden by another country then that country will then make itself a target. This is a clear statement and one which will give the United States time and opportunity to hit back but not whan it is angry and emotional ...

As I'm always one for speaking my mind I have a few thoughts from seeing this set of "views" ... and - well, I'm sure our American bretheren won't like them but I think they're valid.

1) If you support the views below then I guess you'd better pack your bags because unless you're a Native American then you're just as much of a foreigner as those people that you are trying to exclude ... you might have a family tree going back a couple of hundred years but the only reason you are where you are now is that someone had the opportunity to make a fresh start and work hard.

2) In any free country this type of event will always be a risk because the freedom extends to all people. I heard someone on TV yesterday arguing that this was *ALL* the governments fault, that *THEY* should have stopped it happening, that *THEY* should have made sure that these terrorists were stopped at their point of entry into the US, that their plans should have been picked up on and thay they should never have made it onto the plane. This isn't a description of a free country ... this is a description of a Police State, of a dictatorship rather than a democracy. There will be lessons learned, there will be actions taken. All of these will hopefully help prevent this kind of thing happening again but will reduce the freedom of the individual.

3) Well ... I've already mentioned the American publics pet support for the "troubles" in Ireland so I'm not going to go back there.

Anyplace is the right place to display patriotic or sympathetic sentiments under these extraordinay sentiments.

I agree with the above but I also think we need to understand why and how to combat this in the future. First I want everyone to know I do not advocate vigilanteism or any other illegal act. If you agree with what I say, pass this on to others, as well as news stations and radio for broadcast.

Several days ago when the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were bombed we were brought to the shocking realization that our government had failed us. The people we had elected to office, the people we expected to keep our land soverign had failed because we have failed them.

We have become far to interested in passing off our responsibilities to others. We have elected officials whose qualifications include World Wide Wrestling and Movie Acting. In addition we have elected officials whose sexual scandals are legend. So we ourselves have contributed to our own problem - Now to fix it!

1) Take back responsibility
        A) Know where your children are and what they do. Don't let them support foreign drug cartels.
        B) Know who your neighbors are, and if foreign report anything suspicious.

Remember that these terrorists were living and working here (someone's neighbor), don't expect your understaffed police to catch everything.

        C) Secure your job and the jobs of your co-workers by discouraging H1 Visa's and Green Cards.

We are not responsible for employing the world. Further, because we don't even know who the terrorists are we can't afford to employ/train any foreigners not already citizens.

        D) Let your companies know that they must hire Americans first and be quick to report violations to the INS                 and other agencies that govern hiring foreigners. Remember there are laws, make them work!
        E) Write your representatives and let them know their jobs are in danger if they do not stop the
tremendous influx of people from the mideast, like pakistan, india and afghanistan.
        F) Stop spending money on foreign products, buy only American made and assembled.
        G) Stop sending money oversees, save our own children in the Appalachains, save our own elderly.

We don't need to help fund any more terrorists attacks nor do we need to help raise anymore terrorists. They think they hold us captive over Oil, let's show them America is no one's slave.

We don't need to go into endless discussion about this, create laws or visit this in Congress. Everyone of these items is legal and something every American can do on his own. All we need to do is enforce existing laws, be more responsible and tell the "government for the people" that we are now prepared to do our part and they had better do theirs!

Just as an aside I lived for almost 14 years in the Far East. People in those parts of the world do not think like us. Even those who are know in the US will still place their religious orders above the vows to be American citizens. It is a wonderful strength and faith for them. But for us, it can be a terrible tragedy.

Today, let us stop talking..let us do more than give blood and food..LET US TAKE BACK AMERICA FOREVER!
