*chuckle* No worries Tim ... loads of other companies do it too. Kenwood
and
Onkyo for example. THX Select really is a bit of a joke as it really has to
be seen as a way for GL to make more dough by allowing more manufactures to
certify low end kit for less money but still get a THX badge!

The wife-to-be says I can get one when I get another job ... need a

By the way ... my Yamaha already allows stereo subs and I have a pair of
REL
Strata's. I once had them set up with the RELs used just inside of my main
LR pair and they did sound good.

It's possible that even if I manage to afford the Meridian that I might
take
a short detour and get a Sony 9000ES processor ... I was playing with one
last week and they've just been discontinued so I expect to find some good
deals on that unit. It'll do as an intermediate step while I sit back and
see where multi channel is going! (A couple of people who have already
asked
about my DSP-A1 so I can see that going for a few hundred which means the
"upgrade cost" comes down a bit!)

*chortle* If memory serves me correctly then this is where Tim and I first
"locked horns" on UKHC! Tim likes Bipole rears whereas I like
direct
radiating rears ... and I think we disagreed quite vocally about this on
UKHC!
