Sorry to be off topic, but my machine at home has crashed in a horrible fashion!
I've recent installed a 1- wire weather station and as a result have left my machine running windows 95 on the whole time. With hindsight not a good idea.

It locked up over the weekend, Ctl-alt -del, no response, so pulled the plug.
Now I can't get into windows even in safe mode.

Tried to reinstall windows 95 but the machine crashes half way through scandisk, problem with the FAT, but locks up when it tries to repair them.

I know about the emergency recovery utility, but moved house a few months ago and have no idea where that back up is.(or to be honest, any others).

Not a happy picture.

Any ideas what to do next?

I promise backups will be the first thing I do when (if) it recovers, (How many people have said that!).

Fingers crossed.

James
