Mr Tonks (on the Forum) stated that they were offloading Tivo because
they ordered 1000 units and needed to clear surplus stock for financial
year end. They expected them to sell better than they did because they
are and excellent bit of kit. Poor marketing was the problem. He said
that once the last of them were gone then any more would be sold @ =A3299 until Thomson reduced the wholesale price. So if you get one of these
for =A3150 plus =A3200 lifetime sub then you are only =A350 on top of the *real* price. If Tivo go titsup.com in the UK then we all have a nice
Linux box for a good price :-) There was also a rumor that 5000 new Tivo Demo videos have been pressed :-)
