The Denon does overlay video (configuration settings) onto the monitor
outputs. Does that matter too much - since it is still just a
video
signal coming from the outputs? It can be turned off if all else
fails.
So, theoretically, if I can get the component video outputs into a
scart, then my TV should think it is an RGB Signal?? I think this
is
what the Xbox does - the component video outputs are used to make an
RGB
scart for European Xboxes, whereas they can be used directly on the US
xbox.
When you say electrically compatible, do you just mean the impedances?
I am assuming that component vid is 75 ohm...?
Still need to find a cable!

I did say MOST AV amps - and the Denon AVC-A1SE isn't MOST AV amps!!!

If the signals (component and RGB) are electrically compatible (ie.
same
impedance etc) AND the A1 doesn't output any overlay or OSA/OSG on the
monitor component output then I would assume the answer is yes (the amp
would merely be switching between the inputs and not adding anything
itself). Obviously, Keith or other knowledgeable soul will come
along
and
correct me - or maybe confirm what I have said. If you try this
and
your A1
melts, don't blame me!
