Saw this mentioned on the HomeSeer board and thought it might be of
interest...

"Easy Control - Easy Tools for Virtual Instrumentation, serial and TCP/IP
communications"

- receiving and sending data through PC's RS 232 ports
- waiting for specific data, analyze and make decisions, extract useful data
- sending data in various ways (for example send same data n times)
- implementing data logging with microcontrollers (like Microchip's PIC
family)
- bridging data through serial ports
- receiveing or sending data over a TCP/IP network, local or even Internet.
Endless
possibilities to log/monitor data, control processes from a remote PC.
- together with Rack Designer makes a versatile and cheap solution for
virtual instrumentation

Seems pretty good for $23.

I'm sure there must be some interesting possibilities here. Perhaps with the
barcode scanners (scanner -> Fuji -> LAN -> server)?, temp boards, etc. Any
other suggestions?

Justin.
