Depends how much telly you watch.  Like you, we've got it hooked up to= Sky
Digital, and recording everything at High quality has not caused us to run = out
of space, even when on holiday for 4 weeks.  That said, we don't tape = soaps and
other frequently occurring crap that would fill it up a lot quicker.  = I'd like
to add more disks, but to be honest I've got stuff on there from February t= hat I
know I'll never get around to watching, so why bother? (at least until the<= BR> warranty runs out).  Having 240Gb of storage would mean at least 30 sc= reens of
recordings, which given that recordings cannot be sorted (into folders such= as
films, music etc) would be a nightmare to manage.

Other tips - I've got it looking at terrestrial versions of BBC1,2,ITV,C4 &= amp; C5.
This is just because it means I can watch something on Sky whilst it record= s
something off terrestrial.  It's default is 'best picture', which mean= s it'll
default to the digital versions of the above unless you tell it not to.

Use the medium speed IR control for the digibox, at least that's all my Ams= trad
box can keep up with.  There's one code that works for all boxes (the = Grundig
maybe), but not sure of the number.  Take a look at the UK bit of the = TiVo forum
for details.

Add an X10 appliance module (or other timer) to cycle the power to the digi= box
everyday at about 2am.  Since doing this I've not missed one programme= due to
the digibox crashing (this only works now because TiVo sends the 'sky' butt= on
before every channel request, so effectively turns it back on if it's off.<= BR>
Finally, we've not even switched on our video since getting TiVo, and hardl= y
ever watch live TV.  Its great!

Pete

Well hopefully my Tivo will arrive tomorrow, so any hints/tips
would be most helpful.

I'm going to be using it with Sky Digi - Family sub (=A316 a month)

I've been looking at the opportunities for upgrading it as well,
do you find the basic box has enough capacity, or have you rushed
out and fitted 2x 120Gb Maxtors ???

Nick.
