Title: Message
The Rio receiver itself has both Ethernet and HPNA connectors in it.

The one "with the card" was a "boxed set" that included both the receiver and a PCI HPNA card for sticking in your PC. My understanding is that the UK ones are the receiver ONLY.

On the "audioreceiver" list, there have been significant problems with HPNA and the receivers. I would strongly recommend that people only consider these for Ethernet use.

Mark,

Are you just looking at the version for ethernet connectivity or will it be the one with the card to use existing phone wires.

Sorry,

We're talking about the Rio Receivers (the same as the DDARs)... ie the networked MP3 players.

See www.automatedhome.co.uk for more details...

Regards,

Mark

Got this from their Marketing Director today...

Please let me know if you're interested. If there's sufficient interest, then I'm sure we can do something on price with them....

----------------------

Hi Mark

Many thanks for your email.

We do have units in the UK currently, however the packaging is 'damaged'. Rest assured the product is absolutely fine!

We have a published SRP of £179.99 which I am happy to discount because of the packaging to £159.99 VAT and shipping included. If you want 3 or more units I am happy again to discount by a further 5 per cent to say £150 including VAT and shipping.

If this is of interest please let me know - or if you are thinking on grander scales again I would be pleased to discuss.

Kind regards

Nick Caddick
Marketing Director Europe
SONICblue Inc
