I have used the SDS Plus chisels and 50mm channelling tool (2x 25mm conduit)
as well as the box sinker, damn wot a mess......!!!

I also used a template from screwfix (not sure of the code) which had a
spirit level AND a height adjustment thing which meant I could draw a
template for all the sockets etc all at the same height THEN use the box
sinker which takes around 3 - 5 mins depending on material (In my experience
anyway)

Aidan,

IMO the box sinker is more worthwhilst than the
chisels - they are ok, but I finbd it more efficient to
cut two tracks up or along the wall with a normal flat
sds chisel first, then use one of the conduit shaped
ones to clean the slot out.
