My N0 is in a small room/cupboard off the garage (see the wiring guide for
pics).  There's a small rack on the wall, soon to be replaced by a full
height one hopefully.  The main HA server and the Jukebox PC live there too.
Never had any problems with any of the kit.

The garage was *my* perfect location for N0.  As Keith said at the time,
because it's not central in the house, the CAT5, COAX, speaker cables etc
all had to be longer, but that was a small price to pay for it to be in the
right place.
