No. There are many different services, such as the excellent DNS2Go
(www.dns2go.com) that can help you there.

Just assume that ADSL is just like a normal 56k modem link, except a
lot
faster. A VPN will happily run over it.

If you are using a VPN to dial into a corporate network then there is
no
need to change the domain.
