Can you vent hot air into the roofspace/ceiling space?

I'm going to run a couple of 4" PVC pipes from the loft through the back
of the cupboards in our bedroom down into the garage - one is for
running CAT5 / signal wiring through and the other is for  air
extraction from the CRT Projector hush box and the equipment rack. Loft
mounted centrifugal fan to draw the air through.
