True, but Sky have been touting series linking since the launch well over a
year
ago, and it's still not working well. How difficult can it be?
Even if it
means employing someone to manually trawl the listings making the
links.
As for viewing 2 channels, I've got TiVo set to record from terrestrial
where
possible (so can watch Sky whilst it records terrestrial), and the
likelihood of
2 Sky channels both showing something worthwhile that won't be repeated
within a
few days was sufficiently low!
I've not use Sky+ apart from at friends, so as I said before, it's all
very
subjective.

In Sky's defence, it is still new - no doubt this will be ironed out
over
time.

Not sure how this works, with sky having a foot in both camps.
Know what you mean though.

In an interview with the SKY+ team, this was hinted at as a future
possibility - right now I guess they need to claw back as much r&d cost
as
possible.
> * Box was cheaper
Not initially - it started out at 399, just like Sky+. SKY+ will
probably
come down in price once it's been around for a while......

If the terrestrial channels started broadcasing proggies in 5.1 the it
would
be more of a + for the sky box, but ATM, only a limited no of movies on
sky
are broadcast in 5.1 and they are probably either crap, or you already
own
them on R1 DVD :-)
For me, the only thing that is really swaying me towards SKY+ is the
record
1 channel & watch another feature.
Granted, it doesn't happen _that_ often that 2 sky channels show
something
worth watching - but when it does, it's bloody annoying :-)
