Thanks for everyones comments on this.  I called the number and was to= ld I
needed a comodity code.  They transfered me to a lady that I had great= fun
trying to explain what a robot dog was :-)

She decided that it would probably be clasified as a 'Processing Unit' sinc= e
its eyes and ears were "Inputs", and the memory stick was "S= torage".  All
good fun.

Commodity code if your interested is '8471509000' which is free of Customs = &
Excise Duty, but requires VAT.  All products including gifts of a cert= ain
value (new & old) incur VAT.
By the way the Commodity Code for an AudioTron is '8520909090' which is 2%<= BR> CIF, then VAT @ 17.5%.

I'm not sure what I do with this info if my mate sends it from the US, but<= BR> it gives me an idea of what I'd probably get stung for.  My current es= timate
is:-
+ $1111.10      - US Sony Style cost
+   $22.10  - US Sony Style postage
* 1.075      - US Tax
+   $70.00      - Approx Fed Ex US Post = charge to UK
* 0.6932      - US Dolor to US Pound
* 1.175      - UK VAT
----------
  =A31049.24      - UK Total

Sharper Image had them for $799 but I think I've missed it.
