I used the blue (230V) 16 amp versions to replace all the pathetic
connectors on garden appliances (lawnmower, strimmer, leaf vac...) so
I could have a resaonably safe and secure way of letting SWMBO loose
with electricity in a long garden. Also replaced the non-flexible
flexes with blue 1.5mm2 Arctic cable so it can be wound on the cable
reel when it's been left outside in a frost...!

Finally, before I put a new consumer unit in, this was a good way
(using an RCD plug [13A square] to industrial socket) of ensuring
that the outdoor stuff could ONLY be used via an RCD.
