i think your thinking of the various other forms of lnb's used with
larger dishes and analogue systems, . A standard Sky LNB is
a 'universal' type and needs only one cable, a voltage signal from
the digibox is used to switch frequencies at the LNB.
we don't have sky+ in Ireland but i have a twin LNB and two digiboxes
hanging off it, one irish, one UK. The UK one gives me ITV/CH4/CH5
that i don't get with the irish one.
I would run four cables from the intended Dish location into the
attic and distribute from there. Maybe use a loftbox.
