Any of the broadband ops can cut you off for running a commercial service
on
a home network.
you are supposed to only run a password protected site so that the
whole
world won't kill the ISP's servers by trying access your version of
friendofafriend or whatever funky new service you are offering.

True, only 128k uplink, but this is due to be addressed later in the year
&
BY have hinted thier one meg service will NOT be double the price,
unlike
the NTL offering.

OTOH, BY are (allegedly) a bunch of useles fcukers.  As, allegedly,
are NTL.
If you enjoy hanging on for 45mins+ to talk to BT/NTL tech support then
go
ahead :)

adsl:
bt lines cost more
not a guaranteed connection until someone actually switches over your
line,
despite the line test maybe saying otherwise.
BTOpenWoe certainly have a v.bad rep

SKY:
Fine if you don't want broadband net access. :)

Basically, which ever way you turn, u r buggered - crap pricing, crap
service, crap technical service, or any combination of the 3 - take
your
pick :]
