If you are going to use the 'newtxtosd'(?) Tivo utility, or similar, to
display caller id (and assuming you have caller id info on windows pc),
why
not just make use of the winsock ocx in vb and open a telnet session to
run
the utility?
I struggled at first, kept crashing Tivo, but now it's stable and fine.
I
also use it to display other messages from my ha pc. I can extract the
relevant bits of code from my ha software and e-mail to you if you
like.
