Fuji510 Wi-Fi - ipaq 3970
I am posting this to both groups (FujiTablets & ukha_d) so sorry if you
see
it twice!!
But I need advice....
Bought a Fuji from Laser. Got advice on how to get files onto it (thanks
to
group members).
So today got my CF memory card & PCMCIA converter. Also ordered what I
was
assured would be a "PCMCIA" Actiontec 80C12 WiFi card - already
discovered
that my 3com cards would not fit as they are CardBus with a different
form
factor - but was assured by Global Direct (the people where my company
buys
IT kit) that it was a PCMCIA and not CardBus. It's here now and ...you
guessed it.. it will not fit . It is exactly the same form as my 3com
!!!
The CF memory & converter fit and work fine.. GREAT :-(
I might end up keeping the card for another laptop - But can anyone point
me
to where I can buy a card online which will definitely work with the
Fuji
(drivers & all - running Win 95 as shipped by Laser).
I have a iPAQ 3970 on it's way to me (end of week promised). I will
also
need a WiFi card for it (plus the right jacket..I guess), The question is
do
I buy a CF WiFi card and use it with both the iPAQ and Fuji via the
converter. Or do I just buy a PCMCIA jacket for the iPAQ to use one of
my
CardBus WiFi cards and buy a compatible WiFi card for the Fuji.
Any suggestions will be most appreciated.
Thank you.
