I know you were kidding but...

Wireless power transfer systems do exist,at least experimantally,
(inductive for very short distance) but to be useful for most
purposes they throw out dangerous amounts on NI radiation, so you
probably woulnd't want em in the house.

Would be the holy grail of tech if it could be done safely, no more
plugging things in. Put where you want, bluetooth or wifi for the
comms & wireless power to drive it.

Wonder how long before those that can afford it have farraday cages
built into the fabric of their houses to reduece EM exposure?
