Hmmm

You have spotted the flaw Tim

From the web site and the sales bumph you would think it was all automatic

I'm afraid there is a little icon in the sys tray

And yes sometimes you do end up working the mouse the wrong way up J

Though you can set up hot keys

Mike

I quote

Pivot® Features:

I. Pivot® Software Properties Tab. This tab can be located by taking the following steps:

3.      Select "Control Panel"

4.      Select "Display"

5.      Select the "Settings" tab

6.      Select the "Advanced" button

7.      Select the "Pivot Software" tab

Within the Pivot® Software Properties tab there are three selections:

Hot Key: Use this tab to set or change the rotational Hot Keys for Pivot®.

This tab allows the user to set a key on the keyboard to rotate the screen's image. Simply click in the desired box with the mouse and then hit the key, or combination of keys, on the keyboard.

Setting the "Rotate" hot key will enable Pivot to rotate through the available orientations (e.g. 90, 180 & 270).

When you have set all your options simply hit the Apply button at the bottom of the dialog box.

Does the picture rotate automatically via a position sensot like the old Pivot displays that were sold for Macs, or do you have to hit a hot key combo. If a key sequence is required then the latest ATI driver has it built in...

It works Ok

Running on the 18 inch LCD it gives a large viewing area for web pages and outlook

It is called Pivot, and runs totally independently of the Monitor

I've used it a couple of times with a plasma to give some interesting displays

The only problem I have is I have  Matrox 450eTV card

They don't clash unless I try and run it in the Portrait mode

The software allows you to rotate the picture in 90 deg chunks

The supplied software doesn't work with XP but there is a quick download from their site

http://www.portrait.com/

looks as if they do free trials as well

How does the software work which rotates the screen?

Tim.

I'm about to take the plunge an order a 17" tft.

I've come across the Iiyama 4332 which has the following features:

4 port USB hub

1280x1024

DVI/analogue input

Rotating portrait/landscape screen

Price 545 +VAT from dabs.

Any alternatives?

Tim.
