Bugger, that always happens. I post,
then I find the info in 2 seconds. When I don’t
post
and hold back, it takes me hours and the thread jumps off
subject.
Anyway… found a few pictures
from
the manual linked to from the henrys page.
The Higher end models appear to contain more than one bt8x8.. It’s possible that the lower end cards have
added stabilization
circuits to help with the input switching, but even so, they could not pull
more than 25fps/number of inputs best case.
The models with multiple bt8x8 chips
start
at model number 650 from what I can see, but those photos may be out of
date..
Also at the end of that second chapter
is
Note
1. GV-700V1 / GV-800V1 card is not compatible with Intel chipset
motherboard.
2. GV-650 / GV-750 / GV-800V2 card is
not
compatible with VIA chipset motherboard.
3. Version 5.1 system must to install
DirectX 7.0 or above.
4. GV-DSP card PC
requirements
(1). VGA card graphic chipset level
must
to use Geforce 2 or
above.
(2). GV-DSP card is not compatible
with
VIA chipset motherboard.
I’m not sure if these are the
shipping cards or not….

video card updates
This is the
equivilant
page on henrys…
http://www.henrys.co.uk/cctv/multicam.htm
More detailed product
info on there…. I’m just searching thru it now to try to
ascertain
what is exactly on the board.
The photo I can see
doesn’t show more than one bt8x8 chip, but that may be the cheap card.
I
did look at these a while back before I got the grandtec for £60..
I’ll
look back over my bookmarks and check exactly what these cards could
do.

Haven't
been following this thread so don't know if this has been mentioned
already.
Checked
this out before and posted about it a couple of months
ago.
Considered
it at the time but finances (and SLiMP3 bulk buy + recent JVC widescreen
bargain) have prevented a purchase.
A
couple
of months ago they were considerably (20% - 30%) cheaper than Henry's on
all
models but only seem cheaper on the 8 cam models
now.
Perhaps
an email to both companies may entice them to drop their prices further if
you
fancy one of these...
