Surely the kitchen is where you want decent amounts of high brightness
lighting (most of the time)...

I'm fitting 8 x 50W 240V halogens in the kitchen ceiling, plus 1 more in the
built-in larder cupboard, and also the under-cupboard lighting...

Oh, and at least half a dozen CAT5 outlets... hahahahahah!!!
