You can ask the control system to monitor for an X10 signal and then
perform actions based on that, but it is not the most reliable (read a
bit flaky) way of doing things and requires some trick programming.

For example in HV:

If
X10 A:1 "on"
Then
X10 A:1 set to level 12 (75%)
End If

It's something like that IIRC, but with LW10U's and LM10's they still
start at 100% then dim :-(

Basically what that does is that if the light is switched on and the
controller receives the X10 command to do that then the controller dims
the light/s to the desired level...after blinding you ;-)
