Phil,
After a great deal of research on the 'net, I think I have discovered
the hack required to convert the standard antenna to the double-high
gain version. As you are probably aware, this version is not intended
to be available to the general public and is currently only sold to
miltary and law enforcement organisations. It combines the use of
dual RF active red ink stripes with interference surpressing black
tape and the anti-ionisation green dot. Of course figures relating to
the substantial performance gains are never released due to their
implications for national security. However I can categorically state
that there will be a significant change in the appearance of the
antenna.
Please let me know if you would like me to make these modifications
(at no extra charge) prior to collection, though it would probably be
best not to let others know if you do have such a device in your
home. After all it would be a little embarassing if a significant
NATO contingent were to arrive on your doorstep.
Regards
Graham
