Re: OT: BMWs (was USB2 on Laptops?)

Tim, pulling your leg. It is a great engine, and the car's not soo bad either. But a car is only great for the purpose you intend to put it to. An M3 wouldn't be great for any of my purposes, although it wouldn't be too bad for a couple of them.

In fun,

Ray.

Ever driven one? The 6 cylinder engine goes from strength to strength with each new evolution – the new 325 develops more power and torque than the old 328, the new 320 is better than the old 325, and the 330 is almost as good as the old M3. The new M3 engine is on a par with a Porsche 911.

Besides that because you have to wait up to a year for them and I don’t pay VAT on cars anymore, I’ll be able to sell it for MORE than I paid for it after a year. A quick search on the BMW website will show that 6 month old M3 convertibles are trading at a 3 grand premium at the moment.

Apologies to all list members. I seem to be hijacking the odd thread at the moment. I’m just so excited – bear with me the car will arrive in September.

Tim

A good point. You're right, the flaw is actually in the base statement: "I've got a great car" :-P
