Door Bells - Part II

Following from the recent discussions about wireless doorbells, I
decided to go with the 'butcher an X10 keyfob' idea that a number of
people mentioned and went in search of a bellpush housing that would
hold the PCB.

Fortunately, my local hardware shop (Turtles) had a display of
bellpushes which had just one that seemed suitable.
Sadly they didn't sell these any more. :(
But, in fact, that bellpush should come off the display because the
asociated bell was nicked :O
So I ponced the bellpush off them for 20p :)

A bit of butchery on the innards and horay - the keyfob PCB fitted
nicely.  The original pushbutton had a satisfying 'click' to it, so I
managed to retain that on a fragment of the old PCB and ran a lead
between the two - hey presto, an X10 bellpush!

Why am I telling you all this useless drivel?  Well I bought an X10
chime unit, which works a treat as a doorbell - the only problem is
that it's on the end of a lead, and not just an all-in-one wallwart :(

This means I can't plug it into a socket in the hallway because it
will just trail across the floor and look unsightly as well as being
dangerous.   So.....does anyone know of an X10 chime that is an all-
in-one unit?

(PS Don't suppose there's a volume control for these chimes is
there?  Bloody loud if it goes off when you're right next to it!
