living room lighting plan

I did post this lot earlier, but somehow it got lost on Yahoo.
Apologies for any duplication :-)

I'm pondering over lighting control for the living room. At the
moment there's four uplighters daisychained on one circuit, another
circuit with a single ceiling rose on it, and a table lamp plugged
into a wall socket.

I'm planning to blank off the existing double light switch, and put a
3-way RF switch in it's place. That'll control a LM12 for the table
lamp, and a selection of SL575's for the uplighters and main ceiling
rose light.

Now here are the constraints. (1) I can't redecorate, (2) don't have
access from the room above, (3) the current back box is really
shallow, and (4) there's no neutral connection for the existing
switch.

So taking that lot into account, is my plan the best way of tackling
it all?
