A bit of a subjective question -- but it seems to work consistently
well for me. It has never recorded a programme speculatively that I
categorically wouldn't want to watch, and has occasionally turned up
some interesting stuff I wouldn't have otherwise watched. I imagine
it is less effective in a family viewing environment because the
tastes would be more diverse.
