It happens to us at work, especially this week when so many people are on
leave.
Thats why I suggested a "gentle" reminder that the lights were
about to go
off so you could wave BEFORE the darkness :-)

I've worked in offices in the US which used this - or at least
something physically identical. Suffers from the same problems Mark
M. highlighted - it still is unable to detect individuals doing
static work. Amusing walking watching people dance when plunged into
darkness though.
