Yeah - keep us posting. My TS (Essex) still are not interested, despite
Watchdog claiming that the TS and ASA we're looking in to it further.

BTW, I've not had a reply to my letter to Kodak legal yet, and the
Royalmail
site is having problems tracking the item....

Sorry for the continuing off topic posting but I know quite a number of
the ukha_d throng did place an order for the Kodak camera and you may
find this interesting!
Had another call from the Trading Standards today following the last
posting I made (see below). They have now asked if they can come out to
interview me tomorrow and take a statement from me. I have arranged for
a TS guy to visit me tomorrow when I will take the opportunity to
explain in great detail exactly what has happened and try and correct
some of this "cyberspace" misinformation that appears to be
spewing out
>from
Looks like TS may have re-considered their position and may be preparing
to take action. I'll let you know how I get on !

Subject: RE: [ukha_d] Kodak - Radio Interview MP3 file
For information. Just received a call from my local TS. As previously
mentioned Hertfordshire TS have been running with this and according to
my local TS guy:
* Kodak have admitted the mistake but insist the offer was only
posted for 12 hours on 31st December. Looks like they may honour orders
placed during this period (25?)

* Kodak have produced evidence to Hertfordshire TS that "the
special offer page was downloaded and reposted by person or persons
unknown onto another website linking into Kodak". This may be the
local
TS guy getting a bit muddled as he was not technical and relaying a
phone conversation with Herts TS. Herts TS have accepted the evidence
but when I asked if I could see it, he wasn't sure.

* Even if there was a case, they appear to have hit problems in
jurisdiction as the Kodak web site is a USA based site rather than a UK
site. This smacks very much of Kodak pulling a fast one with Herts TS and
may
be blinding them with science (cyberspace again!). To the best of my
knowledge, the web link was hosted on Kodaks official web site. They may
have removed the link from the Kodak shop home page or similar but the
actual page still existed and was live. How else could Kodaks order
confirmation process kick off.
Bottom line is that TS don't believe there is a case either civil or
criminal.
Any other feedback yet ?
Don

really techie enought to laugh that bit off.

that page!

....offer removed from the Kodak shop web site the following day (December
30th), what happened then was certain people bookmarked the site and
although the site was taken off public view it still existed in
cyberspace
