although you could write a program to do this and get it to launch hsc.exe
which is a command line option for HomeSeer which
would then allow you to launch a HomeSeer
event.

Very easy to start to use, scripting
becomes very powerful using VB Script and best of all support for HomeSeer is very very
good.
