OK, at risk of pissing on my own parade, (see
later..), having just spent
the best part of the evening faffing around with my new toy, I cannot
overstate how unimpressed I am with DAB, and what an utter, absolute,
steaming pile of putrid rotting rat vomit the Psion software is...
It took me hours to get it to work at all under XP, the USB drivers are so
shite, that every now & then XP says the thing is not even there any
more,
and the only sound I can get out of it sounds like a stuck record so jumpy
it would be at home in a jumper factory...
totally unlistenable,
the Psion website (which I checked before I ordered it), says (and I quote)
- "You have an excellent chance of receiving a strong digital radio
signal
in this area"
I can only hope that one of the alternate software products improves
matters, otherwise...
(later...)
anyone wanny buy a Wavefinder? - only £40.... ;-)
