RE: Powermid/Tivo Problems

I'll try it, but i think that then shuts off the blaster bit of it - which
is used for the other kit.
Still, if it works, another 25 quid or so is better than nowt.

FYI, I do effectively have a hard wired IR system - the Linn multiroom
passes through IR via emitters.
Trouble is, it's not everywhere, and I am 'cheating' in the lounge by using
my AV amp for all sounds, so no need to Linn there at all - and a saving of
about a grand it would have cost to kit out the room otherwise.
Also, would un-intuitively have to blast IR at 90o (to point to Linn keypad)
to the TV to change the channel.

The hard wired IR dist that I will have in the future I guess is the
unmentionable AKA, essential-device-of-no-determined-release-date, which
will route or indeed 'switch' (oops there I go!) everything and anything
every which way.

Problem is I need a solution NOW.

SWMBO is not allowed near Tivo just yet as is 'still being set up'.  If she
goes near it and it doesn't respond to her delicate touch then she will NOT
be happy!

cheers

Tony.
