Solution to curtain probs

I’ve found a reasonably priced solution that will be available inside two months, designed to work with any corded track.

http://www.lukeseng.co.uk/customers/lukeseng/

It is made just down the road from me. In standard form it doesn’t do what I want, but it is made by a small engineering firm. Currently it recognises end stops by an increase in load on the motor, but he is working on a new version in which you can program the number of turns stop-stop. When he does this, he will produce a second version of the pic controller which will work with either an appliance module or an SPST relay or any other contact closure device for discrete control.

It sells for around £180, and once the new version is available he’s going to let me have one on a sale or return basis.

I’ll follow up with details once I’ve seen it, I think he’ll be interested in talking to Mike and Li about retail opportunities too….

Tim.
