I'd go all out - upgrade the line to ISDN and buy a Siemens Gigaset DECT
PBX system. That will give you the ability to still receive calls while
already
on the phone. Other phones in the house simply ring - someone else can
pick up another handset, you can put the first call on hold and answer, or
let it go to the voicemail. Voicemail can also send an SMS message to
your mobile if you want.

May be slightly more than you were expecting - but hey, you did ask :-)
