RE: Consumer Q (return of Video Card)

Tricky one this.
If the card arrived DOA, then I certainly would (and have successfully in the past) argue that you paid for a working card to be delivered to you - so why should you have to pay again for a replacement that does work when the original should have?
That's not the case here and they could argue that you should do more research blah blah before you buy - otoh, you expect something to be fit for the purposed for which it is intended, and if it claims to work with W2k yet does not do so then it is not fit for purpose and thus you should not be penalised for this.
Proving it doesn't work with W2k (and not just your installation) of course would be difficult.
I'd say you may as well try but are unlikely to succeed as it is way too easy to argue that the card is fine, it's your other hardware causing the problem,  The card is fine, it's your OS that's the problem etc etc.

Are there known problems with this card and W2k?  Any workarounds?  What is it and who are they out of interest?  It may be that someone else on the list has experience of the card thay may help.....

Say I buy a Video Card

Say it doesnt work as expected (ie Blue Screens a fresh W2K install)

Say the manufactuer doesnt respond

I now have an RMA with the UK supplier

It is reasonable for me to ask for them to collect at their cost, and refund me delivery charges, rather than me having to send it back myself and cover both delivery charges ?
