Hi All
While having a break from the ir rx project , i decided to have a go at making a simple ir blocker unit. I wanted something that was small and simple to put together without a lot of modifying. Couldnt find anything suitable then noticed the ic holders supplied with  the optos purchased from rs . I have covered 3/4 of one side with velcro drilled a hole at one end for cable entry and inserted a 3mm ir led and filled with black silicon . I have taken some pictures , although because everything is black they are not very good. Have a look it will give you some idea also  I believe Keith Doxey and James Hoye did a ir blocker which i think is archived on Marks site so check that out as well.
www.users.bigpond.com/armagh/  Go to Homevision then click on ir blocker link . As i said the pictures arent great.
