RE: IR distribution
Bugger, just had a look at these, the 10062 Xantech 791-44 @ =A377.23
seems okay (ish)
but the =A388.13 for a "10067 Xantech Brass 490-00 "Micro =
Link"
Receiver" your 'avin a larf........
Surly the receiver is just that, a receiver no complicated
electronics(?).
I did once connect an emitter onto HV and it controlled the
TV/Video/Sky
box well, only problem is getting the IR to the HV box in the first
place.
Have to think about this, I like the sound of it though.

Yes, reliability was the deciding factor for me, personally. I tried
noncing about with a Powermid solution at one point but, unless you
really can't run a bit of cable I wouldn't recommend it!
I got all the gear from Let's Automate, the receivers being the bit
that
you feel kinda cheated on in the way of price, but to be fair to LA,
they are expensive in the US as well so it ain't Mike that's ripping
anyone off for them.
Top tip, don't run anything else on the same bit of CAT5 as the
receivers...bound to screw up! ;)
Other than that I have to report a virtually flawless system over the
past couple of years, well worth the investment IMO.
