RE: OT: Ide RAID and XP

My Abit board has built in Raid, and it still requires software drivers.
Had Win2k on it, worked a treat with mirrored pair of drives, split into C:
and D: partitions.
Downgraded to XP and the C: drive still existed, but the D: disappeared off
the face of the earth.
This was with XP drivers too.
After much faffing about, rebuilt machine from scratch as XP & now have a C
and D again, but am afraid to RAID it again in case it goes titsup.com
again.

Be v.careful what you choose,

Tony
