It so happens I was in a shop I tend to frequent rather a lot yesterday
and I have been offered some bargain DVD players.

They are as follows:

Panasonic DVD-XV10 (Multi-Region) =A3179
Panasonic DVD RV 32EBS (Muti-Region) =A3159.99

And the beauty is the new Philips DVDR880 deck which works like a VCR
for =A3399! There are *very* limited supplies of this machine at this
price and I am unsure as to whether it will be Multi-Region enabled at
this price, but it is =A370 or so cheaper than I have seen it anywhere.

For those of you worried about DVD standards, as I see you have been
debating of late, the Philips system is supposed to be the most
backwards compatible system although it is a *very* confusing muddle
that they've gotten themselves into on this issue. The format used is
+R/+RW for recording for which media is more expensive as it stands, but if Philips start a price war like this with the hardware for consumer
players and offer backwards compatibility I would go with it and,
indeed, I have! ;)

If anyone is wants to buy any of these can you mail me off-list.

BTW, these are cost prices out the shop, I am not making a bean out of
it!

K.
