Yes, a casing is really needed you can get single DIN enclosures from
Let's Automate and some decent electrical suppliers, I'm not sure if
Laser carry them or not.

Basically, you create the same wiring within the enclosure as you would
using the mains, just following the wiring diagram that comes with the
module and it's pretty easy and straightforward.
